3 Cheers for Favreau

Well, if you read my “Waiting on Shannara” blog post, then you know that I’m a fan of writer, actor, producer, and director,  Jon Favreau.

Dag! Jon just sewed up all those credits didn’t he?

In addition to that, he’s a great actor, with range.  So, Jon has Shannara on his plate, as executive producer (I should have known we were kismet. Anyone who’s spearheading Shannara is my kind of people), and he’s directed the first two installments of  Iron Man starring Robert Downey Jr. Not to mention, he’s humble enough to take supporting roles as well, like in the hilarious movie, The Break Up, starring Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn.  (Sometimes I have that movie on repeat).  What a guy!

Jon Favreau has a long list of credits, so check him out on IMDB, while you’re there, check out details of my upcoming short film, “A day in the Life of Sarah Jane” which also has great writers, and producers.

So now onto Jon’s vision for the 2015 live-action remake of Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book.

For those of you who grew up with the Kip, you’ll also remember his story, Rikki Tikki Tavi. Now that’s a live-action movie that I’d love to see!

Anwho, from what I can make of the Jungle Book trailer, there’s darker, grittier tone, and it looks action-packed. But what do you expect from the director of Iron Man?

Oh yeah, and this next mention is like have a delectable spoon of chocolate bliss,  IDRIS ELBA is in the cast.  Come on, you know if Idris Elba is in something, I’m watching it.  LOL.

Support Jungle Book when it hits theaters in 2016.
