Ep.7- Pay it Forward
“Are you crazy? You can’t go to Puerto Rico,” Demi exploded beside Sunny. She immediately landed on Sunny’s doorstep when she heard the news.
“Excuse me?” Sunny tilted her head to the side upon Demi’s rant session.
“At least not with me, big sis,” Demi’s forlorn expression didn’t hide her real intentions.
“Really,” Sunny elbowed her way past Demi, “And how do you plan to get there?”
“I’ll pay you back,” Demi appealed to Sunny as she followed her into the spacious master bedroom closet.
“Sure you will,” Sunny countered reaching for a vibrant sunset orange sarong.
“I promise, I will. You know I’m good for it.”
“Oh, like the time you paid me back for your trip to Colorado? Or how about the time you paid me back for that business conference you went to.”
“I don’t remember paying…” Demi halted in deep thought, “You’re being sarcastic aren’t you?” Sunny’s giggle didn’t receive a warm reception from Demi.
“I meant to pay you back. You know I’m a full time student on a budget,” Sunny echoed Demi’s statement.
“Oh please, that’s the save excuse you give every time you want to borrow money that you know you’re never going to repay. But that’s okay. I’m your big sis and that’s what I’m here for.”
Demi’s squeal could shatter glass. She roped her arms around Sunny’s neck and gave her a kiss on the cheek. “Thanks Sunny.”
“However, I can’t pay your way this time.”
