Synopsis
A Diva’s World [©2002-2009] is based on an article written by Kandie Delley. The article received a great response which eventually birthed the online scripted series. Within three episodes, it received numerous hits and a growing legion of fans. Diva’s World’s online product began as a scripted web series, well before webisodes were common.
The original 5 episode run launched on it’s own site in March 2005 re-running the previous 2002 article and first five episodes. What made the series unique was the reader participation in determining the outcome of each episode via voting polls.
In the pilot episode readers are introduced to Sunny Carlisle and her best friend Lauren Santiago. Both women are fiesty, driven, beautiful and educated. In their twenties, Sunny and Lauren were considered the femme fatales of the Dallas social scene. Your event wasn’t happening unless one of them was in the room.
Now in their thirties they’ve become successful business women, however, now Lauren will become engaged and Sunny is newly single- a first for both women. How will Lauren handle having her playette card revoked? What about Sunny embracing her new single status when she’s used to having men stampede at the snap of a finger?
Sunny also has a dynamic relationship with her younger sisters, Terri and Demi, as they crossover into adulthood. Terri Carlisle-Biggums is adjusting to a new wifey role and striving to stay grounded in Christian beliefs while pursuinig a music career and her twin, Demi Carlisle is finding indecision while figuring what she wants to do with her life now that she’s obtaining her degree.
Sunny and her adventurous group of family & friends are rediscovering their dreams, their identities all while learning the true strength of their friendship.
