So I’ve been up since 6am writing & editing an eBook that’s set to release soon, and if you’re on my “Keeping Up w/Kan” electronic newsletter, then you know about that. Then throughout the course of my day, I had a production call with the director of a short film that I wrote and produced, that’s in production. I have spent several hours social networking, followed by more hours of research on producing an ultra-micro indie film, (guerrilla-style).
More net-surfing on filmmaking, location research for a book, crowd funding for the film, and breaking down the script of one of my favorite ’80s movies, so that I can enhance my screenwriting style. Just finished watching a few short videos on J.J. Abrams and Joss Whedon, giving advice on filmmaking, and through all of that, I’ve lost track of time.
My whole Saturday went “whoosh”.
Did I accomplish anything I set out to do originally? Well, I wanted to go hiking, wash my car, organize my home, and visit my Grams. But other than the phone call with director, nothing else went as planned.
Live each day with RECKLESS passion. It will drive other people crazy, but as long as you have the holy spirit to balance out your conviction and faith, then well, do YOU. I’m 42. I’ve had a long journey to getting where I am today, and to some people, it doesn’t look like much, but if you walked in my shoes, and overcame what I have overcome, then you would see why I’m a little teary-eyed.
God is good.
Well, time to work on 2 pages of edits, and then, I’m watching a few episodes of Alfred Hitchcock Presents before I lay it down.
Don’t forget to check out my story, “A Sure Thing” and tell a friend.
