Early voting in Texas 2012
Hey peeps, I’ve been so busy working on the next novel for submission that I almost forgot to send this reminder. Remember, your voice DOES count. If you’re not into politics, believe me, it’s in nearly EVERYTHING you do, even entertainment! LOL.
Seriously, it’s your responsibility, duty and …I’ll even add, privilege to vote. Too many people have sacrificed too much over the course of the history of our country to not take a stand and be heard.
If you’re not registered to vote, then please learn how to go about it. Simple Google searches like, “early voting (insert your state)” –will get you to main websites of your state’s government. Call, ask family, friends, teachers!!! It’s very important.
If you’re in Texas here’s a website that you can visit to learn more about how to register, or even find out if you’re already registered. You can learn where your precinct is and where to vote!
Deadline to register is 10/9/12. So hop to it people. It just takes a few seconds to learn if you’re registered, and only a few minutes and a stamp to GET registered.
If you’ve moved no worries. You can either vote at your old precinct (as long as you still live in the same county) OR…visit Vote Texas.gov and complete the steps to filling out a change of address for your voter’s registration card.
Once you have been registered, or waiting for your certificate, think about what economic, social, health, legal and environmental issues matter to you and review the candidates stand in those areas. Pick the candidate that you truly feel has you, your family, friends and loved ones best interests at heart. Yes…there’s so much trash talking, high-siding, and political games, but pray on it, do your research and make a decision. ;-)
Good luck and happy voting!
